Forks¶
Because Mineclonia is free & open-source, forking the project is quite common and very much encouraged for game changes that are too big for a modpack. This article aims to list the currently active ones.
Betaclonia¶
Betaclonia tries to bring Mineclonia closer to Minecraft Java Edition beta 1.7.3, with a focus on golden age-style gameplay. Its earliest available public release was published on ContentDB by bookgirl on March 25th, 2026[1].
Betaclonia does not target b1.7.3 strictly; instead, post-Beta content is changed in ways that are deemed to fit beta gameplay. For example, sprinting is available, although limited by a stamina bar. Copper ore, tools, weapons and armor are also left in the game from more modern releases for a smoother early gameplay progression.
CloneCraft;Libre¶
CloneCraft;Libre aims to bring Mineclonia closer to Minecraft Java Edition release 1.8 by getting rid of the more modern features and polishing what’s left. It’s based on Mineclonia 0.109.3 (last release before halon’s mob rework). Its earliest available public release was published on ContentDB by awuuwa on October 10th, 2025[2].
Among other minor features, CloneCraft;Libre claims to provide limited support for Minetest Game mods via API wrappers.
